This time of year is my favorite with the pretty colors, crisp leaves and lots of farm visits. Nothing beats freshly made donuts for the kids and hot apple cider for the parents (okay, and a few donuts for us too).
It also means that with the chillier weather coming and going, Cocco has wanted to cuddle up even more than usual. His insistent jumping onto my lap whenever I sit on the floor has escalated to wanting to be held tight in my arms, his nose buried in the crease of my elbow.
He even jumps on the chairs to sit with the kids whenever they sit down, particularly my daughter. He will squeeze himself in between her back and the chair, acting like a massaging heating pad for her back that she thinks is the funniest thing in the world. She will then hop off, wanting to play, and wrap him up in a blanket like one of her dolls.
Cocco has not gotten to the point of jumping on my leg like a dog to demand attention but he does follow my every step and will rest right on top of my feet whenever I stay still long enough. The ultimate footrest for a mini pig.
Or my legs, anything works as long as there is contact.
He is even happy to be held with one arm when I am busy doing something. Remember that piggy I couldn’t wait to tote around? He has become the epitome of a tote-able mini pig.
If this is fall, I can only imagine what winter will bring…
